WCCU is part of the Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA) and proud to participate in their annual scholarship program. Three scholarships of $1,500 each are awarded on a statewide basis each year to local high school seniors who plan to enroll in undergraduate college/university degree programs. 

As a sponsoring Credit Union, WCCU will submit its top three entries for consideration. The following documentation must be submitted with your completed application to be eligible.

  1. Academic transcript.
  2. Typewritten essay of at least 250 words describing what career you wish to pursue when you complete your education and why.
  3. A detailed list of extracurricular/community and/or volunteer activities.
Applicant or Parent/Guardian must be a member of the Westerly Community Credit Union to be eligible to apply. To be considered, upload and submit your fully completed application online by April 1, 2023.
